My wife is Cherokee , and I'd like to Knapp a display of all the shapes of the Cherokee points and frame it for her ! I tried to do some research into some photos of them but didn't turn up anything . I probly need to look a lot harder this time ! Does anyone have any picture's of points or tools E.T.C. that they can post ? I'd even consider buying a display if I could afford it . :coffee2:

I searched and found a couple of videos that might be useful (or not, I'm no expert).

Cherokee Arrowhead point types

Cherokee Traditions: Flintknapping (doesn't really get into point types, but I'm betting if you search on this guy's name, you'll find some).

Siyo! Noel Grayson is awesome. He is a living Cherokee National Treasure.

This source can give you an idea of what you're looking for. This is a database of points found in Cherokee country (East central US, Tennessee area).

Of course there is not a set "style" of Cherokee points so all you can go on is speculation. There are artists knapping points on the Oklahoma (like Noel) and Tennessee reservations now. Maybe check out their work and go from there?

Thankyou Robert & Jatrox for the tip on these guys and their methods ! Just what I was looking for ! Now I need to go to the Collinsville show in mid-March and get me some material to work with I can't find my Mozarkite or any of my Flint or Chert material. I watched the video on thinning points and I see where I've been messing up among other things ! :coffee2:
