I went back to an old bank where I knew there were some halves in the vault. The teller gave me $150 and said keep the trays (1 1-2 - the other is missing the top).

It says 1916 Copyright and 1917 Patent date. Wood dividers - nice antique!

There were 3 - 64's and 20 - 40%r's in the rolls!

That is awesome, it would look great in a display case. Better in mine...............LOL

Wow Tim....that is so neat!! That would really look good with some of the Franklin's you found lining those rows...ha! Very nice of the teller too.

BTW - Congrats on the silver.

nice I got a couple similar but they were "improved" same brand.

Thanks- - I wonder if they were full of Walkers when they were in their hay day - 1916 is when they were first minted.

That great teller said she swears she's going to retire every year. She said those boxes needed retiring because they were old when she first started working at the bank 40+ years ago!!!
When they start talking like that, you almost have to keep yourself from ripping a roll open before you pay for it!

That antique coin box market has eluded me!
I'd gladly trade it for some 90%r's !
