Just purchased my very first detector, Tesoro Vaquero. I haven't had a chance to try it out but hopefully will by the end of the week. I know it will take me some time getting used to it but I can't wait to start digging up some cool finds. If anyone around this area wants a tagalong, let me know. I would love to find some places to hunt and learn some things as well.

Welcome. I'm around close by. You have an awesome detector. You live in a town where minimum research is needed because there was so much civil war activity around. Your challenge will be to find places ( with permission ) to hunt. The closer in to downtown , the better.
