Charter Membership

What to I need to do to become a charter member? I've seen people post items for sale in the past and were scolded for not being a charter member. I'm looking to sell a JW Fishers Proton mag, altimeter, 300' of cable and a custom winch for the unit. Could someone let me know what I need to do?
