Okay i have not had much time to detect as of late due to ridiculos bullshot, however i did find enough to go to the big hill in hai phong. Its the third most populous city in vietnam and theres a park at the top the only mountain. Its full of very fit old people and tons of garbage. I found a pine grove that the garbage was sparse in, and got a brass piceses charm and.....a muddy bullet. Days later I got around to figuring out what kind of bullet it was. Maybe from a war? I washed it off and saw 1994 and was dissappinted......but i washed a little harder and saw 1944. Does anybody know if this is ww2? It says"DI Z" on one side...i find sooo many shells here but this one .....?

1944 would be WW2. The shell is not American. Never seen a firing pin like that nor the markings. i don't know what exactly you found.

Nice finds! :occasion14:

Ok first ww2 find! So stoked! That firing pin is a huge rectangle.....i have never seen anything like that. Its so hard to detect here because of all the trash. Average about ten midtones in 10x10 area really. Foil everywhere. I feel even better that i could pick these brass babies out above all the constant squaking my machine makes.

Rectangular firing pin is probably from a Bren light machine gun
