Changing The Language = Control

Long time ago , GEORGE CARLIN , has a great piece about , --- HOW WHEN THE WORDS ARE CHANGED AND THE POWERS GET PEOPLE TO USE THE NEW TERMS , they control the debate !

My supervisor is very good at this a real CORP, GUY , Each week we hear new terms , Like , FILTER UP , LATERAL INVOLVEMENT , REACH OUT,

We hear daily by the powers to be about " making an investment " What that really means is LETS SPEND MORE , but it sound better

Before you leave just consider this , The pending bill is called something like , THE PUBLIC SAFETY and FIREARMS EDUCATION ACT

Now when the whole thing started it was call GUN CONTROL , So we change the name to get better acceptance

ANOTHER point LETS STOP CALLING IT " The Second Amendment " has no about as much meaning as saying " page 5 , subsection 2 "

ITS THE BILL OF RIGHTS , if that term is used alot more people would be concerned

OK --- I was just attempting to point out that --- If the person in the street was asked DID THEY SUPPORT THE BILL OF RIGHTS ?

1 - most would respond yes

2 - if questioned further about what does the BILL OF RIGHTS MEAN or where it was located Most would not have a clue it was the first 10 Amendments

I just dont really understand why if the 2 nd is so BAD - why not just amend the constitution DID it with probation

If you are interested in the Carlin piece it was in a book he wrote _ since this is a family site , The books name contained the words PORK CHOPS and was written in 2003

Just remember what Ben Franklin said " He who gives up LIBERTY for SAFETY deserves neither "

Yes,just like when G W Bush pushed through the PATRIOT ACT and HOMELAND SECURITY that is a clear attact on THE BILL OF RIGHTS.

No, it started long before that, Abraham Lincoln was one of the biggest violators of the Constitution in major ways, giving far more powers to the Federal Government than it was ever suppose to have....

Well there was that guy Teddy that was born rich and was trying to prove himself a good guy, Big land grab speculator(and progressive).

But there was the Dem. Woodrow Wilson that tore the Bof R to shreds over and over. Imprisoned political dissidents, segregated the armed services, he sent goons to beat people up who disagreed with him...
He was elected on the promise that he would not allow America to get into WW1. Within a couple of months he took America into war.

A Huge Liar, a dangerous fellow. His minister of propaganda(Edward Bernays) was studied by and was the mentor for Hitlers minister of propaganda( Joseph Goebbels).

Progressives have been using these techniques for control for a very long time. Easy to see how Roosevelt got the idea that he was above the office. Easy to see where politicians think they are elected to rule over us.

It's called political SPIN. Changing the presentation's wording to whichever audience they are specking to is as old as politics as usual.

A bigger concern is not so much how everything is being worded, but what, where, and how the information is being disseminated. If you notice the Administration only travels and speaks to favorable gatherings, most of the other side is interviewed on FOX news. In essence both sides are guilty of convincing only those who already agree with them. The message that we have needs to be given to the opposition, and used to educate them to why we think like we do. It has been my experience that the other side doesn't care what you think unless you agree.

Our elected officials are elected to serve us and do the Govt's business. They take an oath to uphold and protect the Constitution, not change it's wording to suit their needs. We have the Courts to interpet the Constitution, not 50 senetors.

We need to enter that mythical NO-SPIN zone !
