Wasn't even going to go out tonight. Torrential rains this morning, I knew it was going to be a muddy mess.
First site I stopped at didn't look to offer any new opportunities so I didn't even take the detector out of the car. But before I left I decided to give the area a thorough eyeball hunt given the heavy rains. I often find glass items peeking out of the dirt after a good rain. Paid off with two marbles. One being a beautiful Bennington about the size of a half shooter. Largest Bennington I've ever found. The other, a well abused cat-eye that had a surprising number of bubbles in it.
I did move on to another site and eventually got the detector out. Added a nice reins guide, a key, and a silver war nickel to the take.
