The 10th and final bag we searched last night shattered all records we have established. This one bag produced a total of 993 silver half's. This is virtually 50 rolls of silver in one bag. The first handful I pulled out contained 19 silver half's out of 25. My wife had taken a break (was real late at this time), but I called her back into the kitchen and showed her what I just pulled out. She immediately sat down and proceeded to help me with this bag. Every handful from start to finish contained multiple silver half's. We just kept laughing and shaking our heads at our unbelievable fortune. I have never have been on such a high (no I have never taken any illegal drugs) but have drunk my share of brew in my younger days.
After it was over, I just stared at this huge pile of silver and wondered how in the world this massive amount could have been in one bag. It must have been turned into the bank from someones collection and finally sent to the reserve. It set there since 6-27-01 until I was the lucky guy who got this bag of goodies. Just think about it - 7 coins short of 50 rolls of silver. A ratio of 50% silver in this one bag. All of the half's were 40% except for one Ben Franklin.
