I've been MDing in open space wooded areas near my home. I'd love to find a person or group that would like to come along with me sometime.
As silly as it sounds, I often fear that I'll get attacked by a bear or wild animal, since I'm alone in the woods. With a second person, or more, I feel animals are less likely to go after you. Plus, it's probably much more fun to find something and celebrate with someone.
If anyone is interested, I've done a lot of research on my town (Charlton), and there are a lot of areas with possible cellar holes, and all-around historical areas near me that I'm sure we'd find some good stuff.
