It sure does. Maybe an older brass version. It looks like the type of knock-out that you insert a large screwdriver into the slot and pry it out.

Don't know what they're called exactly, but it is a backing/reinforcement for a military type button or collar badge.

Could be, i looked around for some pictures and came up with nothing....think it could be part of an oil lamp? Perhaps the part where the wick comes though?
