Cellar hole..what did I find??

So, I had a busy day with the family today. By the time I got home, it was almost dark, so I didn't get to stay long at this place, but I found what looks like gold, but is not heavy enough to be. And then I found what I believe is iron, with a root going right through it... not sure what to make of that.

I've dug pull tabs with roots growing threw them, that's normal. Just cut the root and claim your prize. Clean it up and we'll try to ID it for you.
