Relic Hunting
Hello Everyone,

Worked an old cellar Hole and Corn field; this place has been hammered by everyone with every type of machine. I did manage to nudge a few keepers out of the ground. The weapon of choice to day was the Minelab Explorer SE: wide open screen, sensitivity=28 auto, tone=pitch and hold and conductive audio.
The license plate gave the usual overload, but I had to find out what was the cause. The only coin was an Indian Head Cent, but two buttons, a whole buckle and a piece of a colonial buckle made me happy. Of course a few other relics were found to add to the digging pleasure.

Thank you for looking.

For a site that has been hammered you did well. I have never opened my Explorer up that high.

Nice!! Really cool finds! Well done, congrats and HH

Nice hunt. Should be more goodies hiding under there.

Well its looks u did just fine , cool plate

Hello Thrifty76now,

I usually run the Explorer SE between 25 - 28 Auto, but if conditions are right and the detector behaves :icon_thumleft:, I run in manual 26, this really opens up a site. :hello2: But with this high manual sensitivity sometimes it's too vocal, counter productive and small iron sounds real good :BangHead:...Some conditions only let me run 20 - 22 manual.

You know what, for a site that's been hammered you did well Doc. :occasion14:
With a bit of wax, that '51 MASS plate would look great hanging on your workshop or garage wall.

It’s always nice to get out and dig some targets, as you well know that next hole could reveal something incredible! I like the license plate!

Nice digs Doc! The old plate is cool. I’m gonna have to start digging those overload signals more often. Good luck!

Great job and some nice finds. 🙌 My SE Pro is my go-to for fields right now...until I learn my EQ600 better.
