Today I found an iPhone in the surf and when digging it out I tore the screen up. It wont power up or anything and I think it's been in the water for a while. But my question is, if I turn it in to an apple store can they find the owner and can they pull the pictures or videos off of it for the owner or is it just trash at this point. Thanks for any replies.

No phone company will help find a phones owner as it is a privacy issue. Even if they do accept it from you it still ends up in the dumpster.

Hate to throw it away if they can get someone's pictures and videos back to them.

I called an apple store and was told it was trash and throw it away. Thanks for the help guys, done

took THE 2 i found in the surf that were fresh drops to da phone store they were excited to see if they could retrieve some data , but no dice the water destroyed them
