We found several small caves on my buddies property in greenup ky. They are all in the center of washes going up the large hillsides. Very small openings but we can fit. Inside it is 4 ft. High and a few larger rooms. Are these good caves for artifacts or would they be a waste to dig . No water was inside. Thanks so much.

Not an expert but I sure would sift some test pits for evidence. Good luck trev.

T, I'd be all over those! I would not be concerned about having minimal height clearance. You're probably looking at two feet of erosion over the past several thousand years so that will give you a 6 foot clearance. The normal Native American stood about 5' 5". Sounds like your caves are ideal. I dug one two years ago that was 15L, 15W and 5H. When I finally hit artifacts, I was working with an 8 foot ceiling.

Sounds good. How do you decide who goes in first?

Sweet, u wanna hit it with us 1320, I'm pumped for next time. Maybe I can talk my wife into coming down there and digging with u all next weekend if we get a baby sitter. I go first, I used to breed the snakes , so they make me first,LOL.

Yeah test hole will do it. I hope it is loaded. The snakes will be slow right now, lol. I used to catch them all the time. Now that is exciting.
