Cavalry Camp Revisited, Part Two

Went back to the cavalry camp again today. Not as many bullets, but the 4 eagle buttons were a nice surprise.

I’m not sure, it’s a crushed pewter piece, but I can’t tell what it is. Definitely from them though.

Ill tell ya I would be happy just to find one eagle button even if it was chewed up by a lawn mower and half eaten by fertalizer lol 4 of them and some bullets thats gotta be a blast hunting that site. Great finds......Tommy

Nice variety of stuff.
That object, at bottom of the pic is pewter, eh?
That may have been an officer's container for ..., who knows,
but many things from that period, are pewter....
