Back to Western Md cavalry battle site, Union troops farm field. Got 3 3 ringers, small roundball, small handle. , some kind of small plate with letters I can’t make out, spoon fragments, belt grommets.

Congratulations on the civil war bullets. I believe your plate is a ribbon topper and it looks to me like it says SOUVENIR. I know I have seen one of those before, but not sure where. Maybe someone else will remember.

I agree, it says 'souvenir'. Could have been from any number of events such as a convention, an exposition, the world's fair, etc. Much like the one on this link.... https://www.ebay.com/itm/303908485130

Nice. A lot of those plates were used by Union troops and had their state name on them. Considering this, can you see a name on it?
Don’t see anything on front but Souvenir! Haven’t completely cleaned back off but don’t think it says anything.

Ok, the "souvenir ones" were made later, I found one next door last year or whenever that was. When you went to a World's fair, or NYC or such they were popular say 1870-1930 or so.
