Well, I hiked back up this wagon trail because I left behind my sunglasses on Saturday so I went ahead and detected a couple hours. Hit a 1863 Indian head which was in great shape, Also a button of some kind (if any of you know buttons maybe you can help me id or date) and finally I found what seems to be an old cast iron traveling salt/Pepper shaker, its extremely heavy, and note the threads on the back end.. any thoughts?

The whatsit could be a tip for a Indian water pump
