cast iron factory name plate

This was a real ear blaster and was a huge signal. Curiosity is what kept digging for it as I knew coins/jewelry were out of the question. It is some type of name plate for the factory that was once located where I live. It weighs a couple of pounds. I haven't a clue as to what it was mounted on.

I believe my grandpas old tractor has one of those on it. I'll go check later see if its still out in the bushes or if they hauled it off. Believe it's off a tractor or implement

The Tecumseh Products was at one time, the worlds largest supplier of refrigeration compressors. The whole town worked there as did I during summers between college. Thye made many different sizes but none big enough to mount a name plate on this big.
 

If I remember right the one on his tractor was about 8 to 10 inches long and ran across the hood on both sides
 

In my younger day's I worked for a company in Amarillo, Tx. and we serviced some Tecumseh Compressors in the 10-20hp range
Those buggers were hugh!.......................HH
