I only started getting into scrapping a few weeks ago, and I made my first return on investment today. I've been saving aluminum cans, plastic soda bottles, and glass beer bottles for the .05 cent deposits, plus various other metal items (copper, brass, aluminum and small amounts of scrap steel) for their scrap value.

Cashed in 289 plastic soda bottles today for the .05 cent deposit, totaled $14.45. Not much, I know, but it's a start. It was my first time cashing them in, and now that I know the limits and where to go, I'll make more next time. Hey, I'm $14.45 closer to retirement, lol! Happy scrapping!

Take them to Yank33 Spirits on route 1 Atttleboro Mass No limit. They take beer and soda. If you take them to the supermarket it is a $6.00 limit and they only take soda. Make it worth the trip. I hope this helps you out. Good Luck.

Thanks Roscoe. I went to BJs, and they had a Stop & Shop next door, so I got rid of all of my plastic bottles. I know Yankee Spirits so I'll go there with my glass bottles too. They have a great selection of microbrews. Thanks again for the tip!
