I only started getting into scrapping a few weeks ago, and I made my first return on investment today. I've been saving aluminum cans, plastic soda bottles, and glass beer bottles for the .05 cent deposits, plus various other metal items (copper, brass, aluminum and small amounts of scrap steel) for their scrap value.
Cashed in 289 plastic soda bottles today for the .05 cent deposit, totaled $14.45. Not much, I know, but it's a start. It was my first time cashing them in, and now that I know the limits and where to go, I'll make more next time. Hey, I'm $14.45 closer to retirement, lol! Happy scrapping!
