Cache Hunting
Having moved to SW Colorado last fall we've spent most of the time getting settled etc. Recently I've been looking into local opportunities. Most of my cache research here in SW Colorado hasn't been in the county (Archuleta) that we live in. Fortunately 2 weeks ago I had the pleasure of meeting the local historian! That was great and I will be seeing her again later this week. She's done so much local research it's amaizing. I was able to converse with her nearly 45 minutes when when we met and look forward to our next meeting being longer. Statements she made then imply that she'd be receptive to partnering up and looking for a cache around here. I'll make the offer when I see her this week and we'll see how it goes. I think this may be the opportunity I've been looking for. I'll keep the forum posted on my progress.

Met with the historian and we talked for over 2 hours. We've agreed to partner up and do research this winter on several yet to be identified possibilities. We're also working on one I've been working on for several years. Shes been doing research for over 40 years annd is proficient at it. I'm more or less a novice that tries but that's about it. Wife and I can do the leg work in the field and she will help mostly with research. Should be a great partnership. Now to see what the future holds!

sounds like the kind of a partner we all need

good lick

Sounds like a very good partnership...and hopefully profitable! My wife and I are in Dillon this weekend scoping out the possibilities as well....we were up just outside Steamboat Springs yesterday and today drove on down to Bailey. Good luck to you all and maybe we'll meet out on the trail.
