Cash for gold commercials put to the test. KSL Investigation news video

:icon_scratch: :icon_scratch: :icon_scratch: :icon_scratch: Gee, who would have thought??

Thank you for taking the time to post this to everyone. Especially since we have all seemed to hear some bad stories, its nice to see some facts to back up our suspicions - and I am sure most everyone feels the same.

The Cash4Gold place is definitely shady. Just go to the site www.complaintsboard.com and type in Cash4Gold. The amount of complaints are ridiculous. Apparently it is a multi level rip off. You send your items in an insured envelope they supply (by the way, it is only insured for up to $100). They cut you a check and mail it back to you. You have 10 days from the time the check is dated to send it back to get your money back. Their typical offer is 1/4 to 1/3 the true value. If you call them to refuse or question the offer they made, they will quickly up the offer. They are gambling most people will not complain and just take the low ball offer and be done with it. The complaints I have read are typically all the same...very low offer and that they didn't receive the check in time to send it back within the 10 days, thus their stuff is supposedly melted and they cannot do anything about it. If you have every thought about using their "service" or just want to kill some time with numerous complaints, please check out the Complaints Board website. I foresee this company will get shut down before long...too many expose's run on them.

How do we know these complaints are genuine.
I've heard a rumour that the National Pawnbrokers Association has asked its members to regularly complain to get more business for themselves.
Who can we really trust ?

Thanks for the post and confirming what I have been telling people for a very long time.
I do my own refining and buy and yes I pay %98 top dollar just as any other refiner does, not refining fees.
Its sad that so many people do not wish to work directly with a refiner and get top dollar.

A lot of pawn shops are in bed with each other as they have been feeling the pain. Doubling or tippling your money on gold if your a pawn shop is something you want to protect.
I know around here my little add on craigslist that I have to post many times a day gets flagged and deleted, And its because I tell people the truth and publish my rates. Treat them right and give them what they deserve. Yes I make money but it does not have to be obscene money.

If you need to know anything about how refining works feel free to contact me. I am always buying at top dollar. No games or BS. Just a straight deal. The only way to be and go.

thanks,

David
