I picked this table up at a garage sale and was wondering how old you guys think it is and what it might be worth.

It's 20" high and 20" wide. The table top has a four-armed figure with a lion head. The bottom has four snakes.

I've also shown some pictures of the underside to hopefully help with dating it.

That would make one heckuva poker table.

Sorry, I don't know much about dating furniture but that's definitely a cool table. Hope you can find out more about it.

I'm no furniture expert. But I can tell you that the style is called Anglo-Indian. Made for export to wealthy Brits. I believe the Lion is a form (1 of 9 forms) of the Hindu god called Narasimha. It looks like Padouk wood. As for age I can only guess, as furniture isn't my forte, but these have been made since the late 1700's, yours looks like maybe late 1800's?
Value, no idea. Nice table though.

Good pics, it's got to be worth something. Try a little pledge? I bet it's awesome cleaned up.

I would agree with diggummup. Late 1800 early 1900's. The mixed motifs of snakes and lions make it definitely for export. Flat-head screws help date, as most makers switched to phillips head when invented. That makes it definitely per-1930. It's a beautiful piece.... if your selling or posting on ebay let me know... I've always wanted a table with cobras:)

Thats a cool table you found, will be very handsome when its all polished up!!!
