I posted this on “What is it?” already but wanted to share the Deus story. I was using the HF round coil at 28kHz and reactivity 2.5. This was 6” away from another target which was another Tomball button. VID read 50. Being all white I thought it was something lead. Upon closer inspection I saw it had a brass shank and the rest of it was a white effervescence material. I never knew something like this existed in colonial times. Cool how they attached the shank.

so you basically hit on the shank, pretty darn cool. pretty cool button anyways. another plus for the HF coil.

Cool how they attached the shank.

Maybe screwed the shank in then carved it? I don't know?

I have never seen one like this?

I've always liked finding buttons, and picked up many "oyster shell" type over the years, but NEVER one like that, with a metal shank on it? Very VERY nice.

I was just going by the pic, it looks like what you said or they flanged over the end of the shank post. Smokey may know, button shank expert if there ever was one.
