Great find, Andy but it looks like it was fired with another bullet or the ramrod on top of it or it was forced down an extremely dirty barrel. It may be carved but I'm going with fired under duress...d2

I agree, Double loaded , or Very hard Rammed ' fired with ram-rod.

The Cavity ? or ? look's funny to me , is that Dirt in there ? any iron traces?

Pulled?

Side cuts are interesting but could come from the rifling ???
 

To my untrained eye it looks like a confederate Enfield minie that was forced down a fouled barrel and my have even had the ramrod hammered to get it to seat correctly so it wouldn’t blow the breach out of the musket. I see rifling but no grease rings, just a guess, but very cool non the less.
