Where did your friend aquire them?..and what did he tell you?
Are my first thoughts.
Looks like the bone might be old but not the work.

He bought them at an auction years ago, a woman that he was bidding against was rather upset she didn't win them. He's had them for a long time and didn't really show them to anybody except me... I ended up buying them from hin because he needed some money for taxes...

Looks interesting. Maybe Larson will know he is our bone expert on the site.

Really?
Didn't know we had a designated bone expert.

Awlright ... your probably right.
:-)

I'm no expert in this field. I collect American Arts and Crafts furniture and metal, mainly copper. That I am an expert in. I just recently in the past few years started collecting native american and other native culture pieces... So I'm just getting my feet wet... I collect baskets, textiles, pottery, jewelry, stone carvings.... Anything that really relates to native culture, history and art...

It's nice to meet new people and pick their brains, I'm always looking to learn new things every day...

Stick around you will learn allot, I know I have.

I would consider those arts and crafts personally.
One looks like its been lacquered on one side..the other has fresh looking paint.
I'm positive they weren't found in or on the ground as artifacts.

Well you've come to the right place here. A lot of interesting items come through here to look at and talk about. There are plenty of characters that come through here too. Welcome aboard!
