It looks right. It's a new haven fancy french clock
Good Deal,
Thanks man,I've looked & looked & seen alot like it syle wise but couldn't find one with the ram heads. Also just plain out don't know nothing about clocks so did not know that New haven made the dials for french clocks.I did read somewhere that one piece ones were the early ones so I'm guessing it must be 1850's - early 1900's is this right? :icon_scratch:

Wow Pete, what a neat clock; I love it! Yes, the dial looks correct to me, and it is considered as a Carriage Clock because it has the handle on top. If the handle were not present, it would be referred to as a Parlor or Shelf clock. It looks as if it were 'gilded,' and may clean-up and shine very much like a gilded brass button. The RelicDude is spot-on correct with it being a New Haven French style clock. Yours was made during the Victorian era. Below is a website with a similar one.

Did you dig/find this? It's really a super find, Breezie

Thanks Breezie,
No it was not dug from the ground at least. It was one of the few things that survived out of my late grandads house. It was upstairs as all the stuff down stairs the tide got with several feet of water as most of my family back home got the same treatment from Hurricane Iren. Some being the first time flooded ever in the home.It was grandads first time his home had flooded also and was built in 1915.Anyway saw on e-bay some sold for good money so thought I might fix it up & look for another dial part but does not look like they are worth much from the site you gave to worry about.I was not sure if the dial even was from the clock cause I got another from there but it's just the frame. And looks like egyptian revival era but the dial fit just as good in it.
Take Care,
Pete, :hello:
