I was helping my brother fix one of his older cars when I noticed a lot of coins in his ashtray, along with a half melted blue crayon, LOL. I started to dig them out, putting them into a discarded cup. One of them I found, nicely platina was a 1943 wartime wheat penny. There is a bright spot on the back where there was some wax that I was able to pick off. Not bad for going through an ashtray.
