✅ SOLVED Captain Bar Pin? Age?

I dug this item at the site of a late 1800s early 1900s ice-house. I believe it is a captain bar pin. Can anyone confirm? There are no markings on it whatsoever, and it does not appear to be Sterling. It is sort of gold or brass colored. I have no idea of age; I have found mostly coins and relics from the early 1900s and a few mid 1800s buttons here. If this is what I think it is, any guesses on branch of service or age? Any insights or website resources would be appreciated. Thanks for looking and for your comments.

Yeap Captains bars.....

I'll see if I can narrow the date down some for you. Most of the pin back bars I've seen have been attributed to the WWII era.
