Found my second capped half dollar of the year. I still am running on that adrenaline high. 1812 with the big 8 is a key date. I believe this is 1812 big 8 2 over 1 according to my book. In any case I sure was excited when she came up out of that 8 inch hole that was filled with water. Also got this other cool stuff and a toasted copper. Good luck to all. Art

Yes they were no more than 100 feet from each other. There was a fence between the 2. I just started on this side of the fence this week

Wow!! both of them from the same date range and same condition.....bet there is more there to be found, maybe a half spill or a cache:thumbsup:
