So I found this cap gun at the remains of an old farmstead that dates back to at least 1868(according to an 1868 map overlay).....possibly even goes back to colonial times. It was embedded, along with what was left of an old garden how, in the roots of a fallen tree near the stone foundation remains of the house. I believe the patent date is on one side but it's too worn away to read, on the other side is stamped "Two Time"....the only manufacturer I found that made one called that was Kenton but haven't been able to find an exact match. I'm guessing it's something from the 20's or 30's.....was hoping it was late 1800's but everything I'm seeing is making me guess early 20th century.
Think I did an ok job of cleaning it up using a home made electrolysis rig, so there any cap gun guru's out there that can help me dial in the age and confirm the maker?
