Decided on a change today & went and scouted out a field we haven't done for a couple of years because I had heard it was deep ploughed. Problem was I cycled there in the opposite direction from the other stubble field (the one I started the other week), so I would have to detect it, whatever the condition. The condition was choppy but it's one of the reasons why I carry a walking stick sized Spade to keep balance. I did 4 hours & 15 mins & Dad joined me for the last hour.

1 Scrappy Roman Coin
1 Lead Token
1 Old Fruit Machine Token (I think)
Livery Button - Dragon
A few Cap Badges & Shoulder Badges, plus a Salvation Army Badge.

The aim was to get at least 1 button or Cap Badge that I need, which I just about managed it with the 'Manchester' badge.

Cool digs...was this a training or deployment area?

No, the uniforms (with other finds in pockets etc) were burnt on the land as a form of shoddy. The old wool uniforms break down over 3-4 years realising a kind of fertiliser into the heavy clay soil. Also helped soften the heavy clay.

Congrts on a nice hunt my friend. I like those two piece buttons :occasion14: :occasion14:
