This was a Plan D kind of day. Plan A Cru'dad didn't like, my Plan B we couldn't get near enough up the track, but we saw our Plan C field. Whilst I was detecting on that field I saw the next one was free as well, the Cap Badge Field, so as I moved into this field heading towards the opposite end where all the finds are, I picked up the random Roman Silver!
We have never had so many Winter options ever!

4 hours:

1 Scrappy
1 complete Bottle (in a ploughed field)
18th C IV Dragoon Queen's Own Guards Button
LNER Railway Button
3 Lead Tokens
17th C Lead Cap for a Powder Flask
Medieval Horse Harness Pendant
Silver Cuff-link
WWI Cap Badges - I like the Royal Flying Corp one as it tough to get!
Roman Silver plated forgery of a Julia Domna Denarius circa AD215 8-)

It’s Amazing the old coins You find!! Very Nice!!! Congrats!!!

Cheers everyone.

nice variety of finds. Love the badges and of course the Roman silver

What a great hunt. I love the badges also especially the dragon. If you have time and know what the piece is in the 4th picture down in the middle right please let me know. Is it part of a buckle? It looks like a fat clock hand. I have a similar one and have been curious about it. It's nice to have options to hunt.

Awesome finds, congrats! :icon_thumleft:

I have no idea really, I assumed it was once gilt & part of a bit of jewelry?
The options are unheard of this time of year, sometimes whats bad for the farmers is good for us. It was too wet to drill most of the Winter crops, I'm thinking it maybe too wet to drill the Spring ones as well, which are meant to replace the failed option! Might be a disaster year!

Lucky for you!!! Sounds like you will be busy. I sure enjoy the finds you post. Good luck and I hope you have a wet spring!

Great hunt there! I'd say that would tide me over for a years time!!! That roman silver is beautiful!!!

That makes me feel a little greedy now.... But there is so much out there waiting for us all to dig up!

Your finds continue to amaze me! Is everyone in the U.K. as productive as you and Cru'Dad? If so the whole metal detecting tourist industry is in danger as you all are going to find everything!!

Every season is different that’s a fact.
Great save with that Roman silver.

Holy smokes you ever really stop and think about all the history that if it wasn't for you guys would most likely be gone forever. That's amazing keep em coming my friend. Love it. Tommy

It never hurts to have a Plan D...especially when it results in Roman silver ( and a lot of other cool Roman stuff!). Some days you have to trust in the Digger Gods. Congrats Crusader!!!
