Can't we all just get along?

Everyone is so friggin sensitive! If you dont like what someone says put them on your ignore list. If you dont like the way the moderators run the site, go elsewhere. If you can't let go of something that happened a month ago or are going to hold on to grudges then you are just going to look petty. If someone (like me) pisses you off - then send them a pm and tell them about it!

There are going to be ebbs and flows in many senses. The members that were here 5 years ago are different from the ones today and will be different from the ones in 5 years. The site hasn't changed much in the past year and 1/2 I have been around, with the exception of less finds recently. People need to hunt harder and complain softer!!!

TN is 18 years old, CRH forum is close to that age as well. We are still on the top of all the Treasure Forums on the net..... Members come and they go and we are still here.

We have rules and they are enforced, we give 2nd, 3rd, and 4th chances, some even more but when it becomes obvious the rules will continued to be ignored by a member the bans get long or permenant.....

If members post by the rules there are no issues with the mods or other members....

Joe couldnt agree more- seems like the last couple months have been like i was back in elementary school- all the name calling and tattle taling- geesh grow some thicker skin and just take everything everyone on here says with a grain of salt-

just keep stacking, just keep stacking, stacking stacking stacking

I agree with russell and joe, shame to see so many good members, like eminem go away.

He chose to not follow the rules that keep this forum going. I remember SEVERAL public warnings.....at some point the moderators need to follow through on their warnings to prevent chaos. Continuing to argue about it or lament the occurrence publicly doesn't help or change anything.

Gotta know when to hold em and know when to fold em.

It's no excuse, but sometimes I use Tnet to unwind from unusually stressful moments. (As it is, those moments happen all too often for me.)

It is often those moments and those "moods" when I don't have the thick skin that Joe speaks of. Being aware of it helps control it some, but it is just human nature that you can't fully control how you feel. (You can control your actions, but sometimes you are gonna feel like being bad.)

I've had pissing matches with 3-4 members (OP included) but am pretty much able to let it go after it's over and have even apologized after the fact on two of those occasions (OP included).

Just like the mods can't see everything that happens, neither can we. So even though it might seem like the mods are too heavy handed too quickly, we might not know the whole story. Plus they sometimes have bad days and might act out of emotion just like the rest of us. Once the mods lose patients, the ice gets thin pretty fast and the more colorful members skate at their own risk.

Hey - Ive been know to be a bit abrasive/argumentative/sarcastic at times (once or twice :laughing7:).

I posted a comment about the bickering to the thread that BC1969 started about JRC being his hero. I haven't the time or the patience to read all the bickering. I sometimes miss a post or two that I would have read if I had seen it; but had skipped over some of the bickering and missed it. Although I'm retired and have a lot time, I am not going to spend it reading someone's snide/sneaky/defamatory type remarks. I'd rather spend my time reading more of the posts that warrant reading. I don't know much about the people on this forum because I've only been on it a short while. I don't read but maybe 3 or 4% of the threads; but if I had more time, I definitely would read a lot more. I enjoy good discussion and some of it is; but some is just making cracks about the way other people feel about things.

No, not you Joe, who thinks that of you! Really though, did I miss something? I haven't been on in the last 2 days really, been busy, did I miss another good one? HH, Maverick.
