Louise P. Albee

It's 5 smaller books, leather spine. Italian poets - leigh hunt vol. 1&2 , essay of elia - Charles lamb vol 1&2, and wits and wisdom - sidney Smith. They came together with the rope around them. I brought them from the thrift store. Do you know who louise P. Albee is? Or if the books are worth anything?

OK. I've sold books on eBay and Amazon for several years. I do not call myself a book expert, but I do know a few things about books. The first thing I know is there have been millions of books published in the last 150 years that are pretty much worthless. Even if they are old. The second thing I know is that for a book to be worth anything it has to have some kind of popular demand. And that criterion is pretty much reserved for first editions of popular books that are in very good condition and not very common.
The third thing I know is Condition Is Everything. The rarest of books can be worth very little if it's torn, rotted and coming apart and other copies are available in better shape. Collectors want quality.

If your books have any value you will find them here by searching the author's name:

Good luck!

I believe the book is old being 2 are signed 1901. They are in great condition for them to be old. Only one book has a tear, and that's just on the outside. The book has errors also. Like...a couple pages was not cut so there for the a couple pages have pages that can't be seen unless you cut it apart. It seems as if they were sewn into the spine. I'll show you what I mean below... also I thank you for the information! I'm no book collector, just thought it may have been worth a couple bucks. Check out the pic below...
