I picked this belt buckle up yesterday in a thrift store. It is made like some WW2 German and Allied Force's belt buckle's of that era, though I believe it's post WW2. It's not cheaply made, but fairly heavy duty stainless steel construction, like what a modern military would order and issue. I can't find this insignia on it with the letters IR/RI ??. I've looked into thing's like Royal Infantry, Irish Republic Army and a bunch of other military buckle's that are similar. It looks like infantry to me with an Insignia of a 18th century looking bomb and flames?. There is nothing in the way of markers marks or style numbers anywhere else on it. It looks very lightly used and maybe it isn't military related?
