okay there is no picture because its not needed. . . . i know what the item is, per say. I found a aluminum plate from an old fire extinguisher, BUT when I looked up the company and model nothing came up. its dated at 1972, and the company is called RBD Cap. the model is 410R and its called the "Super 10 dry chemical Fire Extinguisher.

i just thought it was odd because I found it in the middle of a farming feild that had never had a house there.

if anyone can find any info on this I'd bee appreciative

Welcome :hello:

Can't help with the research, but don't fall into the trap of trying to understanding how random bits got into fields with an assumption that it was once a homestead or site. Its fun to try & work it out but often we will never know for sure. I do ploughed fields all the time & much of it was dumped there in one way or another & its not close to where anyone lived :icon_thumright: Collect all the evidence & come from a clean sheet, & it maybe come clearer
