Well, my friends and I have been hunting this Civil War Camp site that has been getting bulldozed for about six months now and its coming to an end, they have already cleared the last lot and everything has been picked over by a lot of people. The first day I went in there I found an Eagle Breast plate. And now, it looks like I will be finishing it up with another Eagle Breast Plate! :laughing7: I found it in a very trashy area by an old house site. The ground was loaded with large pieces of iron. When I came across it, it sounded like another old beer can. But in this place, I dig everything including all those large pieces of iron. I had quite a pile of iron and trash when I was done. Should make it easier for others to go in now:icon_thumright:

20170505_194927.jpg A sterling silver spoon, half of the handle is missing though.

20170506_182957.jpg This piece was a surprise, I was digging a target and I cut my hand on this. Its a fossilized piece of wood, kinda cool.

What a great site you have yourself!!!! Congrats on some awesome relics!!!! :occasion14:

Awesome and great saves from the developers.

Even with the little bend, that plate is in really great shape. Nice work!

Might have to pull a grave yard shift on that place. Congrats.

Congratualtions on the historic finds! :occasion14:

Awesome x 2!! Man, I'd be camping out there! And dig, dig, dig til my arms fell off...then dig some more. Congrats on the beautiful breast plate, If you are interested in getting it professionally restored, I'm sure the small bend could be addressed though it does give it a lot of personality...great digs..Ddf

beautiful breast plate, that alone made the iron clean up worth it.

Wow! I wish I lived near where some battles were fought, only civilian stuff where I am. I guess I just have to hope that some civil war veteran paraded around his property in full uniform, ripping off buttons and buckles and throwing them everywhere :laughing7:.

Yeah, that is a gorgeous-condition plate. I'd be over the moon.

Too find one breast plate is quite the accomplishment,
but finding 2,, is just showing off. lol
Beautiful piece,, congratulations

Wow! Great find David. That site has ruined you for future sites. LoL! Congratulations buddy
