Can't believe i never thought of this

Went behind where i live today and found some good stuff in an hour and a half will be going back tomorrow. I think i found an old hunting area from the mid 1800's very heavily littered with rimfire casings of all calibers.

Awesome buckle!!! You have an OLD spot there!!!! Good-luck!

Nice finds, and that's a great looking complete shoe buckle. Would guess late 1700's.

This is the 5th virgin spot ive found with in a mile from where I live! Clearly no one has hit this part of my city and its the neighborhood i grew up in

Great buckle.

Well, if you are living in N. Mass. or Southern New Hampshire , unless its paved or built over- it's ALL old sites ! Nice finds .

That is one great looking buckle! Congrats on some really nice finds!

You need to add -"found an old buckle" to your title.

Maybe the best example of early buckle seen here in quite some time. Congrats on a very well preserved find.

Man that buckle is huge and intact, stuff like that just doesn't turn up out here but we can hope ! :occasion14:

Congrats on the phenomenal old buckle. LC is great. Clean that place out!

Great finds! Have to keep us updated on new finds!

Wow, I think you have found a great location if you can pull all of the junk out.

Nice.
Sometimes things are right under our noses.
We do often tend to overlook the obvious.
looks like a sweet spot with nice potential. Congrats.

My moms neighbor told me the buckle is probably the colby family who owned the property from the 1640's and on . The colbys were given the land by the king for setting up the first sawmill on our side of the powwow-river

great finds, awesome buckle, and a virgin site too
i wouldnt be able to stop smiling or digging
