I got this cannonball from a friend of mine who was a building engineer on the grounds of the Old Soldiers Home in Washington, DC. next to Lincolns summer White House there are three vacant old buildings. In the basement he came across a small stockpile of cannonballs which very few people know about. So he went there one day and grabbed a couple and gave me one. As far he know there still some there but he does not have access to the site anymore. We also went ghost hunting there one morning and that place gave me the creeps.. Heard some moaning and saw a door closed by itself. Would like to go back though.. I think the cannonballs
were meant for the battle of Ft. Stevens.
