Hit a local estate sale today that was not advertised. Went inside and my buddy informed me that some guy was looking at a box of watches. I walked over and looked at them also and got a broken Seiko. However looking at it I think it's fake because it says made in Hong Kong? It does work but the secondhand broke off.
I turned around and hanging on the wall were three canes. Marked at a dollar apiece. And I thought man that one looks like sterling, I have never seen such a thing before! 925 hallmarked something inscribed on it to looks like it's is 1920.
As I'm getting ready to pay they have a small jar with some old watches in it and I ask if I could see those too. The lady said sure that they were all broken and not worth anything. She was right they weren't worth anything but inside the jar with some scrap gold. I haven't weighed it yet but I think all of its 18 K except for the angel ring is probably 10 but I paid $80 for it all.
