Candle holder ?

Found this the other day 1919 house few feet away from old b ball court I'm leaning towards some kind of candle holder possibly ? Lets hear from the forum and as always much thanks appreciated.

Looks like a key. Maybe for winding a clock, starting power equipment, or hardware latch.
Also could be a pull pin/ring pin. (see the pin with black grip)

I know what that is! I play trumpet and it goes on it. You put your fourth finger through it. It's called a valve finger ring. You can adjust them for the length of your finger.

You beat me to it! As soon as I seen the pic I recognized it too because my Bach TR-300 had the detachable 3rd valve slide ring. Student model horns have them so a lyre can be put in its place to hold sheet music.

Ah, I have the Capital Edition Jupiter. Started 4 years ago. I want to find a trumpet related item. Would make my month!
