Most chinese coins found all over the US....by the thousands.....date way before the C.W........many to the 1600's,which means absolutly nothing to dating the site,or that there were even Chinese here then.They are neat though!!They also can be dated with a good pic front and back
 

Yep, I found a Chinese coin minted in the 1660's. Our town was founded in 1903, so it seemed odd. I was told that Chinese would circulate their coins for a very long time, and would sometimes sew an old coin into the clothing of someone who was traveling far from home....
 

I found my first Chinese coin a few weeks ago in a 19th century yard, it was from the mid 1700's.

yeah I've found a chinese coin once before, but it did'nt match the site at all, this one was found near where a railroad was built back before the civil war, so who know how old it is........i kinda hate finding them:( tho
