I found this while looking for the Double Eagles on the beach in Port Angeles, WA. Thought I had struck pay dirt. It is the same size as a double eagle, but thinner. It was pretty beat up from the surf and rocks, but I flattened it out with a press. It's pretty interesting. My buddy thought it was a Star of David, but I showed him it was a representation of a Canadian maple leaf. It says, "In Hounour of the Centenary of Canadian Confederation" on this side and "100" on the other. It is dated 1966 on this side and 1967 on the other. Any ideas?

That is a Canadian centennial coin that was handed out to Canadian school children in 1967. I still have mine, it is still in the plastic bag that it came in. They are probably millions of these still around in the back of drawers etc. It is an interesting find at a beach though!

Oops, I should retract the last post. Your coin is different from the school coin photo that I posted. That maple leaf symbol was everywhere in 1967 so it looked pretty familiar.
