Got a 1968 dime (Canadian) in change today. The way I understand it, there's no way to tell if it's clad or 50% silver. Correct?

In 1968 there was 50/50% silver-copper, also 99% nickel.

Thus they are treated, when buying or selling, as 65%ers.

Yeah, it didn't look silver, but I had my fingers crossed.quiksilver said:legend76 said:The results are in........................... It stuck to a magnet
Not that looking is 100% but after a while you will be able to tell most of the time by looking whether or not it is silver.
