Nice digs Tommy, congrats on the Merc. :occasion14: Coin spills are always a bonus.

Thanks loco I took your advice which was very helpful. I met SD51 Steve and he has gotten permission for a few old home sites near a park he is a great guy to hunt with lots of fun I took him to a few spots of mine and we plan to go to local library to research and seek out some permissions one is an old drive in movie theater. Thanks again !!! for all your great advice and wisdom!!!!!!

Hey A....awesome finds! LUV that Canadian 2 dollar coin...never saw one before! Good to see you posting some great stuff...thx for sharing...Ddf

HOW did you find a pristine steel penny in Michigan soil? I have three here that you can barely tell they are pennies. After breaking the crust off you can see some details but they are totally hammered.

Hey scuba I didn't even realize it was a steel penny till I got home and thought it was a dime also do you know what these Canadian quarters are made of they are not pre 64 one says 1952 and 2012 below it they came out like silver not the clad Michigan black ??????

The 1952 is 80% silver 20% copper. The 2012 is 94% steel with 3.8% copper andthe rest a nickel plating. It was probably a recent loss as long as the penny.
