The top piece looks like part of the base to a vintage lamp. The bottom piece looks like part of a single tree.

WELCOME to the forum!

thank you for the response! What type of lamp would this have been? An oil lamp? Or is it not old enough? Also what is a single tree? I did a google search but got nothing lol. Sorry for all the questions. I'm new and curious about my finds

Search with no luck. Sorry for so many questions, I'm new and curious about my finds.

Yes, the piece you found could have been from an oil lamp. It's such a small section, it's really hard to tell, but I think it's a high possibility.

A single tree yoke hooks up a horse/mule to a wagon, plow, or the likes. Check out this page:

No problem on asking questions; that's how we all learn! :)
