It's slightly larger than a quarter but smaller than a large cent.

I know it's not much to go on but I think we've got the top of a right facing bust and the obverse has even less to offer up.
 

Maybe weigh the coin and also what metal is it, can you determine by your detectors reading.

Well one thing I can say for sure, is the hole was made with a square nail. :laughing7:

I too think I see a right facing bust, so maybe a King George III Half Penny from the late-1700s

Haha, yeah I noticed the square hole too. With the amount I found chances are I found the one that was used to hope this coin.

I think you're right. I think I can see the III right above his head now too. The circumference is what was throwing me off. I've compared it to a KGII and it's much smaller.
