Can you ID is thought it was a spur but not too sure... I found near civil war camp??

Found beside civil war camp in central va amongst a few eagle cuff buttons and some knapsack triangles and knapsack hooks can anyone ID it has asp engraved on it along with a flower pattern and along the outside edge looks like maybe acorns another reason why I was leaning away from being a spur...can anyone help IDing ?

Going on Jewelerguy's suggestion, I googled pocket watch winder's. Here's a link for the images. You'll see quite a few that look similar to yours. I think he hit the nail on the head.
