Hello all...

I found this object while scuba diving in the Connecticut River outside of Hartford, Conn. Some people have told me it may be an indian artifact. Can anyone identify it or suggest what it might have been? Your input would certainly be helpful and appreciated. It weighs about 10lbs, Mesures about 6.5" overall and is approx 4.5" in diameter at its' widest point.

Thanks,
Wayne

It is not a Indian artifact.............
Modern 100 to 200 year old..................anchor weight
How they made them / drilled them with modern bits,I dont know
I have seen the object before...................and think it is a old anchor weight
You probably already thought of that,,,,,,,but it is not a Indian artifact ,in my opinion
Old Mill grinding stones found in N.W.Ark have the same drill-hole............in the middle but they are flat
That is a heavy object you have and mostly only Axes would be that large........its not a Axe

that is definitely an ancient pecker weight from the village of W3hUngL0w.
it was a village ritual for all men to be able to satisfy all the ladies!
