This is one rock it is from north east Alabama it breaks easily. Does anybody have any idea about what it is. I had a man tell me it was something that would be with gold??? I do live within 10 miles of where gold was discovered before the California gold rush. Have quite a bit of this type on the back of my property.

This rock sets metal detector off in the silver range as other that look like this what is it? There is tail of the indians having a silver mine that was filled in before the trail of tears. Supposed area where this was is about 20 miles from me there is a hole that was filled in with rock??? I have been trying to clear it out to see what it because I would like to build a house there. Thank you for any ideas

Welcome to tnet! You might want to crush up that last piece (last photo) with others that are similar and pan it. I see some very small questionable items that show some interest of being gold or pyrite.
